Striker Billy Clarke netted after two minutes to give Town's U18s a 1-0 victory over Norwich's youngsters in the Academy derby at Portman Road. The Blues were the better side throughout and the margin of victory flattered the visitors.

Boss Joe Royle says the Blues are continuing to search for a way to make new Norwegian signing Vemund Brekke Skard available before the transfer window opens in January. Skard, who has agreed an 18-month deal with the club, was in training at Playford Road earlier today.

Boss Joe Royle felt his side's confidence will have been boosted by the 3-1 victory over Plymouth at Portman Road. The Town manager said his team are not yet at their best but thought the victory was well deserved.

Town got back to winning ways as Plymouth were comfortably defeated 3-1. Jay McEveley opened the scoring with his first goal for the Blues, Jimmy Juan adding a second before the break. In the second half, Akos Buzsaky pulled one back from a freekick before Matt Richards settled it with a penalty.

Matt Richards headed his first goal of the season to give the Blues a 3-3 draw at Derby County. Earlier, Richard Naylor had celebrated his new contract with the opener, before Dexter Blackstock and Marcus Tudgay put the Rams ahead prior to Jim Magilton curling in a freekick and Blackstock's second.

Boss Joe Royle has confirmed that West Ham have shown interest in striker Dean Bowditch and that he may sell players to strengthen his squad. National newspaper reports on Monday claimed the Hammers were ready to spend £1 million on the England U19 international in January.

Chairman David Sheepshanks has commented on the protests after Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to Watford. Around 150 North Stand fans stayed behind after the game to call for the chairman's head, continuing protests which had begun during the match.
